Winter Horticultural Series:
Picker Room of the Camden Public Library
FREE TO THE PUBLIC!
Tuesdays 10:00 am refreshments followed by guest speaker at 10:30 am. This year the programs start on January 31st and conclude on Tuesday, February 28,2012. Further information is available on our Home page or our Blog which is accessible by clicking on our home page.
The Camden Garden Club is: - Responsible for the beautification of the downtown area of Camden including the Village Green, Public Landing, traffic islands near the Library and the hanging baskets on the downtown street light poles.
- Responsible for flower planting at the Archway boxes.
- Leader in the annual Tree planting program sharing one-third the costs with the Town and Homeowners.
- Responsible for scholarship assistance to students pursuing studies in related fields, provide donations to the Library for books and videotapes on gardening and related topics, provide lighted wreaths for the holiday season.
- Maintenance of the 2 planting beds at Village Green
Camden Garden Club Projects:
Restoring the design and plantings of the Village Green. 2005-2006
The Children's Amphitheater at Laite Beach Park (pictured below) was completed in August 2009.
 Membership Activities: - Horticultural Lecture Series held in February each year
- Membership Meetings from April to October
- Christmas Wreath Making
- Annual Luncheon in June
- House Tour in July
- New Members Coffee
There are currently more than 140 members.
